It’s Friday! 🎊 What about watching a movie tonight? β€˜What is GLOCAL?’ part III is out πŸ‘πŸ½ Maya Angelou once said, β€œWe delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.”. 🌻 β€˜What is GLOCAL?’ part I is out! ✨ Ending the first semester in ColombiaπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‡¨πŸ‡΄ These six students from track C and G of Glocal cohort IV have been the first ones in South America with University of Los Andes partnership. πŸ™ Out of office: As part of their class β€œRise of the Global City” GLOCALs in Rotterdam went on four different excursions to learn more about how different organisations engage with and shape the urban. πŸŒ‡ While cohort V is arriving to Glasgow to start their journey, here’s a tribute to @uofglibrary from cohort IV. That challenging and simultaneously exiting time for us is best described with words of Palestinian-Romanian photographer and Glasgow alumni @adinassarou : β€œπΊπ‘™π‘Žπ‘ π‘”π‘œπ‘€ 𝑖𝑠 𝑖𝑛 π‘Ž π‘ π‘‘π‘Žπ‘‘π‘’ π‘œπ‘“ π‘™π‘œπ‘π‘˜π‘‘π‘œπ‘€π‘› π‘Žπ‘›π‘‘ π‘œπ‘›π‘’ π‘œπ‘“ π‘‘β„Žπ‘’ π‘œπ‘›π‘™π‘¦ π‘π‘™π‘Žπ‘π‘’π‘  π‘Ÿπ‘’π‘šπ‘Žπ‘›π‘–π‘›π‘” π‘“π‘œπ‘Ÿ 𝑠𝑑𝑒𝑑𝑒𝑛𝑑𝑠 π‘‘π‘œ π‘’π‘ π‘π‘Žπ‘π‘’ π‘‘π‘œ 𝑖𝑠, π‘–π‘Ÿπ‘œπ‘›π‘–π‘π‘Žπ‘™π‘™π‘¦, π‘‘β„Žπ‘’ π‘™π‘–π‘π‘Ÿπ‘Žπ‘Ÿπ‘¦.β€œ We wish the new cohort an amazing start of the studies and aspired for their future time in the new @uofglasgow James McCune Smith Learning Hub πŸ€“β˜•οΈπŸ« In the latest #glocalperspectives magazine, the GLOCAL alumnis are back with their take on β€˜inclusive spaces’. There were a lot on our global community’s minds and hearts on this topic. πŸŽ“If you’re going to study in Uppsala, you need to read this! πŸ˜‰ The first GLOCAL cohort that went to study at Uppsala University wrote a student guide to the city on how to best prepare, settle in, and make the most of your stay in Sweden. πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ͺπŸ“š It’s now live on the blog!
