Olá! My name is Daniel and I am a passionate Brazilian interested in the interlinks between sustainability and innovation. Currently, besides pursuing my Glocal master’s degree, I work for EURAXESS Latin America & the Caribbean, a European Commission initiative, promoting EU funding for Science, Technology, and Innovation in my home region. I am also a volunteer at the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network – Youth Initiative (SDSN Youth), assisting a specific project empowering schools and teachers globally to educate children about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
My bachelor’s degree is in International Relations, from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), with a 1-year mobility at Sciences Po Paris. After my semester in Glasgow, I will head to Uppsala and then Bogotá, as I am on track G. I love getting to know new countries and cultures, so I am extremely excited to the semesters ahead! With the current pandemic, it is hard to get out and about in Scotland at the moment, but I hope to get to know the city in my last semester.
In my free time, I love practicing sports, reading, and travelling. I am also a big fan of podcasts and Brazilian samba is my favourite music genre.
